PERFORMANCE:
To ensure you are getting the best in
performance, we use science, materials and applications from Aerospace, Marine
engineering, Seismology, Automotive engineering, Structural engineering, Light
Rail
engineering and Deep Sea Drilling. Years of research and experimentation
have proved that tackling vibration in audio and video is too complex to solve
using science from one or two fields. Our research leads us beyond
concentration on natural frequency into the dynamic realm of sequential

Sequential filtering employs a mapped sequence of narrow, intermediate and wide frequency band filters that convert mechanical energy to low grade heat at a highly accelerated rate. Like drivers in loudspeakers designed to produce energy within defined frequency bandwidths, sequential filters are designed to convert energy to low grade heat in specific narrow, intermediate and broad frequency bandwidths. The result is overlapping energy conversion networks that work in harmony to reduce distortion. The effect of sequential frequency filtering is that your components reach a higher performance efficiency without trade-offs.
Our patent protected design eliminates the need to "dial in" an isolation system to each individual component. What will Critical Mass Systems do for my audio and video system?
1. Critical Mass Systems help establish an emotional connection with music. Our isolation systems and direct coupling systems minimize annoyances that manifest in your soundstage through mechanical interference with your components.
2. Isolation systems help a component perform at its optimal level by accelerating the conversion of mechanical vibration to trace amounts of heat. Direct coupling systems move energy uniformly through a rack structure and filter creating a 2-way connection between the component and the floor. The component is freed to pass musical signals naturally with both approaches.
3. They give you a clearer window into and through the soundstage. They enhance the perception of a seemingly boundless, holographic soundstage of striking purity, clarity and musicality.

When coloration is removed from the sound stage instruments and voices become solidly and realistically positioned and sound more like live events.
7. Critical Mass Systems are designed to enhance and sharpen black/white contrast in video equipment. Testing and research confirms that mechanical degradation of the video signal from vibration causes blurred edges, ghost images and a loss of holographic image placement in the video image field. When vibration is removed from video images, they become solidly and realistically positioned with greater front to back depth, separation and stable borders.

Critical Mass Systems have an indefinite
life-expectancy at optimal efficiency. You’ll never worry about your isolation
system wearing out. You’ll get the same great performance day-in and day-out.
Furthermore, digital and analog components benefit to the same degree. You’ll
never worry about a fall-off in performance going from tubes to solid state or
vice versa. Finally, Critical Mass Systems do not require adjustments to
perform at their optimal level. That’s right you never need to adjust anything,
not even when you change components. Never ever.
The only way to wear out or damage the isolation system is too overload it, set it on fire, or spill corrosive chemicals on it.
FLEXIBILITY:
By designing an isolation component that works at optimal efficiency for any component up to 130lbs (Higher load capacity available), you get incredible flexibility for the future. You can upgrade from one turntable or CD player or preamp or DVD player to another without making your isolation investment obsolete. You can use the same platform for an amp or DAC or phonostage and then use it elevate the performance of a brand new component or your home theater system. You can experiment to see where the isolation platform does the most good in your application. You are in control!
We developed the solution to two of the biggest problems in electronic component isolation: changing weight and unbalanced weight. We wanted to design an isolation system that would maintain peak efficiency when you change from a 130lb. component to a 10lb. component and we wanted the isolation system to adapt to changes in center of gravity from component to component without the need for you to make adjustments.
There’s more good news. We offer a standard dimension (Overall: 22.5” wide by 22” deep) that will accommodate most components made today. This means that you don’t have to worry about an isolation platform being too small to use with your system in the future. If you require a specially sized isolation component, you can custom order your Critical Mass System with any dimension up to 23" by 23” without additional charge. Larger sizes are available at extra charge.
Critical Mass Systems Black Label isolation systems can be floor or rack mounted per your specification. Black Platinum Direct Coupling are sold with the rack included.

AESTHETICS:
Appearance isn’t everything, but a pleasant appearance never hurts. Critical Mass Systems' patent protected exterior framework is built by cabinet makers whose work has been displayed in Architectural Digest on numerous occasions. These skilled craftsmen understand the technical aspects of cabinet fabrication, veneer application and custom painting. They work tirelessly to make your isolation component the embodiment of your own taste. With Critical Mass Systems, you select the veneer or the paint color, not us. There is no additional charge for maple or rosewood veneer.
